{"id":23,"date":"2007-04-20T09:11:59","date_gmt":"2007-04-20T16:11:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.elsweb.org\/tyler\/2007\/04\/20\/dizzy-spell\/"},"modified":"2007-04-20T09:11:59","modified_gmt":"2007-04-20T16:11:59","slug":"dizzy-spell","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.elsweb.org\/tyler\/2007\/04\/20\/dizzy-spell\/","title":{"rendered":"dizzy spell"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So I watched <em>Vertigo <\/em>with Stephanie and Megs, hidden in Combs 237.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m not sure I have a lot to say about it yet.\u00c2\u00a0 It was certainly very beautiful, certainly very interesting.\u00c2\u00a0 Very strange.\u00c2\u00a0 Parts made me shiver a little- but parts of the film are so strange that I can&#8217;t quite wrap my mind around them after one viewing.\u00c2\u00a0 Heck, I&#8217;m still not sure what exactly happened.\u00c2\u00a0 It seems to me that there is a chance that Judy wasn&#8217;t real at all.\u00c2\u00a0 I mean, the only person other that Scottie who sees her is the creepy nun, who certainly doesn&#8217;t act like someone who has just seen somebody fall out of the belltower.\u00c2\u00a0 Maybe she wasn&#8217;t there at all, the nun just saying &#8220;mercy&#8221; or whatever she says because she was surprised to find Scottie in the belltower.\u00c2\u00a0 I don&#8217;t know of anybody who would see someone fall to their death and just go ring the bell.\u00c2\u00a0 Besides, Scottie even sees her as a ghost when he finally gets her hair in that bun.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Of course, Judy seems real most of the time.\u00c2\u00a0 She has the coat in her closet.\u00c2\u00a0 But what if it&#8217;s all just Scottie&#8217;s mind?<\/p>\n<p>Probably, this is an interesting path to travel but will lead me in a circle, back to where I left Judy as a real character.\u00c2\u00a0 She&#8217;s probably real.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So I watched Vertigo with Stephanie and Megs, hidden in Combs 237.
