I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t think that it is unusual for a person to be paralyzed by death or love. In real life sometimes this occurs, maybe not in the form of vertigo, but in different ways. People can get so obsessed or caught up in a relationship that their world revolves around it in the same way Scottie\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s world revolves around \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Madeline.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d When someone dies, even if it is not your significant other, often times people close to the deceased take quite a while to get back to normal, often becoming depressed or constantly thinking about the death and the deceased.
