Rather, it comes from the first line of ee cumming&#8217;s poem of the same name. It struck me that besides encompasing some of my thoughts about writing in general, the title would be slightly ironic as this is a blog, and therefor not written with a pencil. So, for your viewing pleasure, here is the entire poem (sadly though, I <em>still<\/em> can&#8217;t figure out WordPress formatting to make the poem look the way cummings intended it):<\/p>\n<p>even a pencil has fear to<br \/>\ndo the posed body luckily made<br \/>\na pen is dreadfully afraid<br \/>\nof her of this of the smile\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s two<br \/>\neyes\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6.too, since the world\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s but<br \/>\na piece of eminent fragility.<br \/>\nWell and when\u00e2\u20ac\u201dDoes susceptibility<br \/>\nimply perspicuity,or?<br \/>\nshut<br \/>\nup.<br \/>\nSeeing<br \/>\nseeing her is not<br \/>\nto something or to nothing as much as<br \/>\nbeing by her seen, which has got<br \/>\nnothing on something as i think<\/p>\n<p>,did you ever hear a jazz<br \/>\nBand?<\/p>\n<p>or unnoise men don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t make soup who drink.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For those of you who may be wondering, no I did not come up with the wonderfully witty blog name myself.
