I’ve never read this guy’s works before. I used to think “hey! Inferno? That sounds pretty dang nifty! Nine levels of hell? Wow!” But no, no. Instead what I discover to read is a long-winded description of Dante’s encounter with Virgil (was he in hell or just a guide? I didn’t get it). Then the mentioning of that stupid woman Beatrice AGAIN. And finally a bunch of heavy language that obviously held a number of symbolic undertones that my little brain just couldn’t quite pick up. What I did get was that this guy is incredibly full of himself and has a huge immortality complex.\u00c2\u00a0 I whole-heartedly concur with the “emo kid” connection to Dante.
